But the good news is you can find one in several places in the game. And this post shows where and how to get as many saddles as possible.
How to Make A Saddle in Minecraft?
Via Chests:
As you might know, a chest is a wooden box found in places like strongholds, villages, end cities, woodland mansions, pillager outposts, shipwrecks, jungle temples, desert temples, nether fortresses, igloos, and dungeons.
In this box, you can find valuable items such as a music disc, bucket, an iron ingot, string, gunpowder, and a saddle. Open any chest that you see. If you find a saddle, move it to your inventory.
How to get saddles through chests found underground?
You have to dig underground and find a dungeon. If you’re playing Minecraft on PC, for example, switch to Spectator Mode, then fly underground to look for a dungeon. Dungeons are like a small room with a monster spawner in the center. Also, their walls are made of moss stone and cobblestone.
After finding the dungeon, switch back to Creative or Survival mode. Then search the place for chests. When you found one, open it. If you’re lucky, you’ll find a saddle. Don’t forget to put the saddle in your inventory.
Fish a Saddle:
You can obtain a saddle as a treasure while fishing. After casting your fishing line into a body of water, wait until water bubbles get closer to your fishing line and the bobber is pulled under the water. Reel in your fishing line afterward.
Your chances however of catching a saddle through fishing are slim. But you can increase those odds by enchanting your fishing rod with the Luck of the Sea enchantment.

Trade with Villagers:
Leatherworker villagers can sell a saddle for about 9-11 emeralds while master-level leatherworker villagers can trade one for 6 emeralds.
You however first have to unlock the ability to buy a saddle, which costs about 10-17 emeralds. If you don’t have emeralds, get them via mining, chests, or even trade them for saddles with villagers.
To trade saddles with a villager, you’ll need to complete a third-tier trading option. To do this, first, open a trade with a leatherworker. Next, purchase the leather pants and then close the trading window.
Proceed to the second trading tier by opening the trading window once again. Purchase the leather tunic and close the trading window.
Open the trading window the third time to complete the next and final trading tier. You’ll now see a saddle. Make sure you have enough emeralds to purchase it.
Note: As you complete available trades, you’ll increase your chances of opening more trade opportunities.
